Hidenori Watanave
Professor
Born in 1974. Professor at the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo. His research focuses on information design and network design. He has previously served as Associate Professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University and as a Visiting Researcher at Harvard University.
He has created projects such as Nagasaki Archive, Hiroshima Archive, Never Forget: Records of the Actions of Earthquake Victims, and Ukraine Satellite Image Map.
His major publications include Connecting Society Through Data, Reviving Prewar and Wartime History Through AI and Colorized Photographs (co-authored), and Animals’ View of War Through Wartime Photographs (co-edited and co-authored).
